2014-2015 Herman Award Nominees Announced!

We are excited to announce the nominees for our 2014-2015 Herman Awards! The Herman Awards Banquet is an annual tradition by Center Stage Theatre. Think of them as our own “Mini-Tony Awards” night. Started in 1982, the Herman Awards allow us to show appreciation for the hard work and dedication that our casts and crews have shown over the season. The Hermans are voted upon by our season ticket holders and voting members (ballots will be mailed soon).

We invite you to join us for the Herman Awards Banquet on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Wayne County Museum located at 116 North William Street in Historic Downtown Goldsboro. A social hour starts at 6:00pm with the awards ceremony beginning at 7:00pm. The theme of this year’s awards banquet is “Awkward Prom.” Bring your biggest 80s hairdo, your wildest 70s style suite, or whatever is hiding in the back of your closet as we reflect and celebrate the casts and crews of our 2014-2015 season.

Please RSVP by July 17, 2015. Tickets are $10/each and you can RSVP by sending a check in the mail to: Center Stage Theatre, P.O. Box 1255, Goldsboro, NC 27533. Tickets are also available over the phone at (919) 583-8432 or online by clicking here.

A brief look into the crazy minds of theatre people…

F2015 One-Actsor the last four years, Center Stage Theatre has produced this evening of locally written “one-act” shows. We will continue this event for a fifth year with a special performance at the Wayne County Museum on Saturday, June 20th at 7:00pm.

This annual experience has given local writers the opportunity to see their original works performed in a theatre setting. With no auditions and plenty of roles, anyone interested in performing is cast in the show. All participants interested in the technical aspect of theatre are also provided the chance to contribute their talents. CST is proud to present this production for the fifth year in a row.

Admission will be FREE or a pay-what-you-can donation at the door.
